Bridges
Missing one or more teeth can affect chewing and speaking, and a bridge can help make those functions easier and more secure.
A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, literally “bridging” the gap where one or more teeth were previously. Removable bridges can be taken out and cleaned, while others are fixed and can only be removed by a dentist. Still others are supported by dental implants. Dr. Bana can advise what type of bridge is best for your specific dental situation.

By the age of 50, Americans have lost an average of 12 teeth (including wisdom teeth).
Among adults ages 65 to 74, more than 25 percent have lost all their teeth. Dentures and partial dentures can replace larger groups of missing teeth, from a row to a full arch to the entire mouth and can be supported by dental implants. Root Canals
A root canal treatment saves your tooth when the pulp inside has become infected, which can be caused by a deep cavity, cracked or fractured tooth, or an injury that may or may not be visible without imaging technology. Dr. Bana removes the infection from inside the tooth, sterilizes, fills, and seals the tooth, and once it has been sealed, places a crown restoration to return the tooth to form and function.
PULPOTOMY & PULPECTOMY
“BABY ROOT CANALS”
Sometimes a child needs a root canal to save a severely infected baby (primary) tooth. A pulpectomy removes all the tissue in a baby tooth as the first step in pediatric root canal treatment, while pulpotomy only removes a partial amount of tissue.
Tooth-Colored Fillings (BPA-Free)
Composite, or tooth-colored, fillings are very popular because they look so natural
Composite resins are durable and withstand moderate chewing force well for long periods of time. WHAT DOES BPA-FREE MEAN?
“BPA-free” means Dr. Bana only uses composite filling materials that are BPA-free—that is, with no mercury content. Ceramic is biocompatible and can be used for fillings, inlays, onlays, and crowns.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are intermediate dental restorations that are between a filling and a crown in size.
An inlay incorporates the pits and fissures of a tooth, mainly covering the chewing surfaces between the cusps. An onlay involves one or more cusps being covered by the restoration. (When all the cusps and the entire tooth surface is covered, the restoration officially becomes a crown.)
